France Monday

Paris; the city of love, the city of lights, the fashion capital of the world! Everyone dreams of visiting Paris! Campers will be introduced to this beautiful city on a virtual boat ride down the Seine River. They will see, and later design, stained glass windows, and, for a day, become an impressionist painter! In the kitchen, campers will make crepes and later, burn off those calories by playing World Cup soccer! Paris has something for everyone! Don’t miss this trip!

Egypt Tuesday

Pyramids! Tombs! The Great Sphinx! These are just a few of the architectural wonders that campers will explore as they travel down the Nile River. Campers will decode the secrets of Egyptian hieroglyphs, and will use them to write their own names. They will design a royal collar or a decorative arm band, and will participate in the Egyptian Olympics! Come travel to the ancient land of the pharaohs, where exploration is both fascinating and fun!

China Wednesday

Huānying lái dào zhōngguó! (Welcome to China!) It’s the year of the pig, and campers will be celebrating by playing games, making rice cakes, and even performing a dragon dance! Campers will be learning about the many animals found in China, and they will visit the favorite giant panda via the web cam! Campers will investigate the Chinese zodiac calendar to find the animal that represents the year they were born. Additionally, they will experience traditions such as using chopsticks and making paper! Zàijiàn! (See you soon!)

Australia Thursday

G'day mates! Welcome to the land down under! Rather than throwing a shrimp on the barbie, campers will be whipping up some sticky toffee pudding cake, an Australian favorite. They'll explore the geography of the continent and snorkel in their own great barrier reef. Children will move and hop like their favorite animals, and discover how far a kangaroo can actually jump. Campers will learn some Australian lingo and will listen to Aboriginal music, such as that from a didgeridoo. The campers will have so much fun exploring the land from down under!

US Friday

Say,”Aloha” to the beautiful state of Hawaii. Campers will investigate the volcanic action that created these islands and their colorful sandy beaches. They will travel to the coral reefs where a multitude of fish, such as the Humuhumunokonuku apua’a, live. (Try to say that three times fast!) Campers will sample Hawaiian treats and will create apple volcanoes and banana boats for snack. Campers may choose to play the ukulele, a popular Hawaiian instrument, and dance at a luau! Colorful leis will be worn as a sign of friendship. Come to Paradise!
