Open House Events, 2021–2022
Saturday, October 9 @ 10–11 AM: Squish, Squash, Splash! (ages 2–7)
Families are invited to explore our creek with Rebecca (Head of School) and Alyssa (Science Teacher, Pre-K–5). After the walk, families may continue enjoying our outdoor spaces while playing on our dynamic playgrounds and with our water tables.
Note that masks—regardless of vaccination status—and adult supervision will be required for the entirety of this event.
Tuesday, October 19 @ 6:30-7:15 PM: “The Green Acres Journey” Student Panelist Event
Hear from our 7th and 8th grade student panelists, who will tell the story of their own unique journey at Green Acres and answer questions from the Zoom audience. For this event, we invite both prospective families, as well as current 3rd and 4th grade Green Acres families.
Saturday, October 30 @ 10–11 AM: Playground Palooza
Families and children of all ages are invited to come explore our renowned playground spaces, particularly our Castle and Woods Playgrounds. For this event, we welcome prospective and returning families; whether you are lifers, new to our community, or interested in Green Acres for your family, we would love for you to join us! Note that masks—regardless of vaccination status—and adult supervision will be required for the entirety of this event.
Wednesday, November 3 @ 9:30-10:30 AM: Virtual Open House
How does the Green Acres experience change the course of a childhood? How does it set the foundation for success in high school and beyond? Hear from the unique perspectives of Green Acres community members, who will share how our academic programs have challenged them, inspired them, and helped them to achieve success. Next, prospective families will be invited to “breakout rooms” so you can get more personally acquainted with our staff and ask questions specific to the grade(s) you’re interested in.

Both prospective and current families always say that the Parent-to-Parent Evening Open House is one of their favorite events! Come meet parents and hear about families' experiences in all grades—whether their children are "lifers" at Green Acres, new to the community, or just starting in Middle School. Join us!
Wednesday, November 17 @ 6:30 PM: Financial Aid Information Evening
Interested in applying for financial aid? Our Business Office will help to demystify the process for you with a short Zoom presentation, followed by a Q&A session.

Every year, Green Acres hosts "Life Beyond Green Acres," a panel discussion for current parents about how our graduates do in high school. We hope our applicant families will consider joining us for the event, as well. A Zoom link will be provided as the event nears.
