Parents Association

Parent friends connecting on campus

The school you choose for your child isn't just a home away from home for them—it's a home away from home for you, too. The Green Acres School Parents Association, or GASPA, is your community of fellow parents and guardians. In addition to monthly GASPA meetings, there are plenty of events and volunteer opportunities that provide a chance to connect with families, not only in your own grade, but across the school.

GASPA welcomes all families to participate in meetings and events. Whether you're new or have been at Green Acres for years, there's a place just for you in our parent community.

Family enjoying BTS Fest

Hosted by GASPA, the school's annual BTS (Back-to-School) Fest is a fun event for families to gather and enjoy the campus together.

Grands & Special Friends Day

Grands & Special Friends Day is a beloved tradition, providing families and friends with a window into students' daily lives at Green Acres. Parent/guardian volunteers help make the event possible by managing the check-in table and helping to guide visitors.

Hayride

Every fall, GASPA hosts a community hayride at Butler’s Orchard. The fun begins with a hayride through the fields, s’mores by the campfire, and, if lucky, a few musically inclined parents strumming their guitars to the flames of the fire!

Thanksgiving Lunch

A celebration involving the entire school community from pre-k through 8th grade, Thanksgiving Lunch warms the heart and highlights the essence of Green Acres. Parents and guardians partner up with Middle School students and help serve a delicious catered lunch for the students and staff while listening to wonderful musical performances by students.

Family Heritage and Traditions Fair

The Family Heritage and Traditions Fair is a celebration of the heritage, traditions, and passions of our Green Acres families. Parents and guardians are encouraged to share their family's heritage and traditions by hosting a family booth, bringing a favorite family dish to the potluck, performing at the fair, or volunteering to help with an activity.

Student and parent volunteer on a field trip

Field trips enrich students' learning experience and provide them with new avenues for exploration and discovery. Oftentimes, parents/guardians can volunteer to accompany their child's class on a trip.

Gala

The Green Acres gala is the school's annual fundraising event in support of financial aid. One of the very few adults-only events on campus, the gala combines good music, food, and company with a good cause.
