BIPOC Retreat for Green Acres Alums, 10/24

Green Acres School will host a virtual retreat on Saturday, October 24 from 3–5 PM for BIPOC graduates to share experiences from their time as a student at Green Acres School and to connect with one another. We are inviting participation by all alums who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, including those with Asian, Latinx, Middle Eastern, North African, Pacific Islander, and South Asian heritage.

We know that hearing and acknowledging your voices and experiences as BIPOC alums is invaluable in being an anti-racist school community. We envision the retreat to be a starting place that brings together voices, ideas, and efforts to support Green Acres School in its mission to challenge and inspire students to live and learn with intellect, curiosity, determination, joy, and compassion.

As the school enters a strategic planning phase under a new Head of School, Rebecca Geary, we are seeking a broad range of perspectives to inform that process. We hope you will consider joining this gathering—Zoom links to follow.
