Assistant Camp Director, Front Office Administrator & PM Care Manager

Schedule: Fulltime (40 hours, 5 days/week)

Work year: 12 months (school and camp)

FSLA status: Exempt

Supervisor: Assistant to the Head of School and Camp & Auxiliary Programs Manager

Summary description:

We are seeking a dedicated assistant camp director, front office administrator, and PM Care manager to support our school and camp staff, families, and enrichment programs. During the school year, this role oversees front desk operations from 10 AM to 6 PM, managing attendance, coordinating special events, welcoming visitors, and supporting day-to-day operations. The position also collaborates closely with the auxiliary programs manager to develop after-school enrichment activities and supervises part-time after-school staff (3–6 PM), including student dismissal and family communications for PM Care.

In the summer, the focus of this role shifts to a more programmatic and operational support role for our camp programs, where the assistant camp director takes on increased responsibility in overseeing summer staff, coordinating camp logistics, and enhancing the camp experience for children and families.

Job description:

Camp

During summer months (June–August), serves as front-line programmatic and staff support
Manages camp calendar; assists with scheduling, planning, and organizing camp special events, field trips, and overnight trips
Designs and orders camper and staff t-shirts, banners, and other camp collateral
Manages and orders all supplies, snacks, and other specialty items needed for programs
Collaborates on summer space-use plan
Manages camp PM Care program until 6 PM, daily
Assists with evaluating and reviewing staff
Designs, develops, and leads programs as needed

Front Office

Greet and check in visitors, students, and contractors; ensure security (Raptor system) and manage visitor passes and sign-ins
Monitor security system and cameras; respond to emergencies as needed
Answer and manage the main phone line
Monitor and modify attendance throughout the day
Check in late arrivals and update staff on early dismissals
Sort and distribute mail and assist with staff orders and mailings
Support substitute teachers with logins, handbooks, and materials

PM Care

Oversee afternoon attendance and ensure safe dismissal of students
Communicate with parents and after-school vendors
Administer medications and first aid as needed
Plan and purchase daily student snacks

Required skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Positive, professional demeanor; ability to multitask and handle confidential information
Enjoys working with pre-k–8th grade students; collaborative and flexible
Cultural competency and commitment to working in a diverse community
CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification required (can be provided by Green Acres)
Strong communication and writing skills
Program design and implementation in a camp or youth programs environment
Works independently and creatively on simultaneous, multi-faceted projects with competing deadlines; strong attention to detail
Cooperatively and collaboratively works with vendors, colleagues, students, and families
Employs a high level of customer experience strategy during all stages of the program or project
Other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of both school and camp

Experience with the Blackbaud database

Director of Enrollment

Summary description:

Green Acres School is seeking a full-time director of enrollment. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who sees the transition from admission to enrollment work similar to that of an entrepreneurial venture, is eager to try new ideas, will lean heavily on data usage, and will explore a range of strategies, including social media marketing, to tell the Green Acres story in an active and exciting way. More specifically, the director of enrollment will orchestrate and execute the admission process to attract and retain families and work with the director of advancement and director of communications and marketing in support of their programs. The person will navigate between the practical work of each admission season and implementing the longer-term strategic vision.

Substitute Teacher

Green Acres School is seeking substitute teachers during the school day and after school.

Subject areas for school-day substituting include language arts, humanities, math, science, Spanish, social studies, PE, technology, and the arts (music, studio art, ceramics, photography, drama, and creative movement).

After school, substitutes are needed in the school's PM Care program, which operates from 3–6 PM. Assignments range from 1–8 hours in a day and may cover more than one academic area or grade level. A full school day is 8 AM–3 PM. Paid training is provided.

Requirements:

Teaching experience.
Bachelor's degree. (A bachelor's degree may not be required to substitute in the PM Care program, depending upon the candidate's experience.)
