Green Acres School Strategic Plan
Green Acres School’s Strategic Plan
Every five years, the Green Acres School Board of Trustees devises a Strategic Plan to serve as a roadmap to guide the School over the next five years. The current Strategic Plan, adopted in March, 2009, is a collaborative work of the Board, the Staff, and parents who served on committees. Their work incorporated recommendations of the Association of Independent Schools of Maryland, our accrediting organization; these recommendations were based upon our Self Study and the accrediting team’s visit during the reaccreditation process in 2008. The Strategic Plan calls upon the School to build on our considerable strengths to become better known locally and nationally as a leader among progressive schools, to deepen our commitment to diversity, to continue to strengthen and integrate the curriculum within and across grades, to assure the school’s fiscal sustainability, and to help our community better understand progressive education.
