Green Acres School has a cherished library tradition—our Birthday Book Program, which celebrates your child’s special day in a meaningful and lasting way.
In the weeks before your child’s birthday, we invite you to contribute to the Birthday Book Program. When you contribute, your child selects a book from the library’s new book collection. We inscribe the student’s name and birthdate in the book on a bookplate designed by Green Acres students.
Your donation can be any amount, from small to large. It enhances the library collection by allowing us to purchase more books (a few dollars to $100), journal subscriptions ($35-$120), audiovisual materials ($60 and higher), encyclopedia updates ($400-$1,200), guest author visits ($1,000-$3,000 and higher), and online subscriptions ($1,000-$5,000).
We also inscribe bookplates for contributions made in memory of a loved one and in honor of an achievement or special occasion.
