Teachers work collaboratively to develop an integrated curriculum, and the child is our core unit of consideration in all school decisions. We are seeking teaching applicants who value experiential learning, thematic teaching, community service, and helping children to build connection to the natural world.
Founded as a progressive school in 1934, Green Acres School is located on a 15-acre campus in suburban Washington, DC. Small classes, a nurturing environment, and a developmentally based, experiential curriculum help children in Pre-K to 8th grade to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.
