Green Acres School

Following their visit to campus for the alumni reunion and 75th celebration, many alums and past staff sent notes to the School.

I just wanted to say thank you for making the 75th anniversary event a great success. It’s also wonderful to see Dale Allen, my 7th grade teacher at Green Acres as well as seeing a classmate whom I hadn’t seen since our graduation in 1973. Visiting Green Acres always brings back good memories of my 8 years there, despite the fact that I tend to get lost walking around the “ever growning” campus!

After 34 years since my occupancy, Green Acres still has the vibrancy of children learning, exploring, and the engagement of caring teachers. Green Acres is true to its mission. Pass along many thanks to all who contributed to such a lovely gathering.

I was skeptical at first about what interest I could generate among my class, but it was really rewarding for me when I was able to get emails from a number of classmates, have a few make donations, and have six attend the event. I am so glad that it worked out so well for Green Acres, my family, as well as everyone else involved. This event was a huge winner all around, and I am proud to play a part in what the Green Acres community accomplished.
